The identifiable areas are: University Avenue (current name as of 2010 - bottom left to lower right) Stewart Street (paralleling University Ave, middle) Anderson Street (lower right, curving to upper left) Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (large white building, bottom right corner) and Campus Hill Church of Seventh-day Adventist (extreme middle right, surrounded by trees). The exact names of the other buildings shown are not known. Photograph dated February 6, 1957. Loma Linda University was founded in 1905 as a sanitarium called the College of Medical Evangelists, by John Burden and Ellen G. White. From 1913 to 1962, the university taught basic sciences in Loma Linda, but sent its students to Los Angeles for clinical experience.
