When compared with later ones, one can see how new houses appeared on the embankment - on a postcard with a stamp of 1907 there is already a second house, and 1913 - a third. All of them have survived to the present day. The lower limit is tentatively chosen to be 1890 - the earliest postcard is dated 1898.
