Miserable was the word for the weather all over Chicago on Easter Sunday, March 29, 1964. Helen Marshall holds the hand of her daughter, Gale, 3, as they cross the slushy intersection of Randolph and State streets. More than 7 inches of snow fell at O'Hare International Airport that day — the heaviest snowfall of the year.
