The Romanesque nature of the interior of the Basilica of St. Yiří was restored during restoration work carried out from 1888 to 1917. Near the staircase leading to the presbytery there are tombstones of rulers from the Przemyslovich dynasty: Bratislava I, who founded the church around 920, and Boleslav II (967-999). On the ceiling of the presbytery, fragments of Romanesque, Gothic, and re-resonance paintings have been preserved.
