Union Square Park: "The wooden battle ship that never went to Sea" located in the southern end of the Park, at the head of Broadway. This structure erected during the early days of the World War was used mainly as an enlistment agency. Photographer's vantage point for this set of three views is East 14th Street at Broadway and viewing northward. 1916. Nicholas Savostayanoff. Gift of Geo. D. Chinn.
