Looking northwest over the Central Manufacturing District in the city of Vernon. In the upper center is the Central Manufacturing District Terminal (large white building with tower), located on Loma Vista between 48th and 49th. The six-story terminal was built in 1923 neighboring warehouses, closely clustered together, fill the frame. A railroad yard and a section of the Los Angeles River are seen in the background on the right. Photograph taken for Pacific Coast Terminal Warehouse Co. on June 4, 1956.
