Severn Bridge (Eng. Severn Bridge, Wall. Pont Hafren) is a motorway crossing consisting of two cable-stayed bridges: across the Severn River (actually the Severn Bridge) and the mouth of the Wye River, and a viaduct between them. Connects the coast of South Gloucestershire, in England, with the coast of Monmouthshire, in South Wales. Located 3.5 km higher upstream than the Second Seversky Bridge. The ferry was opened on September 8, 1966 by Queen Elizabeth II. The ferry, called the Severn Bridge, consists of four parts: the Aust Viaduct, the Severn Bridge itself, the Beachley Viaduct and the Wye Bridge. The Ost Viaduct is a 157-meter long girder bridge with a ride on top. The Severn Bridge is a 1,600-meter-high suspension bridge, with a main span of 988 m long, 47 m above the water mirror
