The "Beer for Taxation" parade moving westward on Central Park South (W. 59th Street) in one of the greatest demonstrations in the City's history, demanding that beer be legalized as an aid to relieve the Depression. Over 100,000 New Yorkers participated in the Parade led by Mayor James J. Walker. May 14, 1932
