View of the northwest side of today's I. P. Pavlov Square (Peter Osvoboditel, Comenius) with houses on the right No. 1787 and 1662 on the corner of Ječná Street in Nové Město. "The square was originally called Comenius in the years 1897-1925. In 1925 it was renamed Peter the Liberator Square, after the Serbian and first Yugoslav king Peter Karađorđević. During the German occupation in the years 1942-1945, the square was called U Slepé brány (German Am Blinden Tor), after the war it briefly returned to its pre-war name. In the years 1948–1952 it was called October Revolution Square (after the Great October Revolution). It was then named after the Russian (Soviet) physiologist Ivan Petrovich Pavlov and kept this name even after velvet revolution." Orientation plan of Prague 1909
