Views of the inside of the Seal Beach substation of the Gas & Electric Co., constructed by Dwight P. Robinson on Mar. 28, 1925.The steam plant went online in July 1925, and it is amazing that the technology was obsolete a mere twenty-six years later when the plant was closed for good in 1951. The power plant stood at Ocean Avenue and First Street from 1925 to 1967.
