View of 2nd and Main Streets in Los Angeles, taken from the second floor of the Union Rescue Mission, which is located at 226 So. Main Street. View is toward the west, with the Douglas Building, located at 2nd and Spring Street, at left. Designed as an office building by James and Merritt Reid, the Douglas Building was completed in in 1898.Beyond is Bunker Hill. An American flag is in the foreground, and cars of vintage 1950s are seen in a parking lot across Main Street.
