Unter den Linden Boulevard (German: Unter den Linden). Crown Prince's Palace - the residence of the Hohenzollern dynasty. Built in 1663, the building was originally the home of the cabinet secretary. In 1732, the mansion was reconstructed by the architect Philip Gerlach into a baroque palace, which served as the residence of the dynasty until the fall of the monarchy in 1918, after which it was transformed into an art gallery. The gallery exposition became the first permanent exhibition of contemporary art in the world. During World War II, the building was completely destroyed and rebuilt in the 1960s. After the reconstruction, high-ranking guests of the GDR were received in the palace, and in 1990 the signing of the association agreement took place. Currently, the palace serves as an exhibition art center.
